Planning and Zoning
Why I Ran:
I ran for Planning and Zoning because I knew I could offer a fresh perspective going forward as a place that welcomes all. I realized that youth has been a missing ingredient in our governmental process and decided to run for office. Through sustainable housing, not only would that be possible, but we can work towards the 10% affordable housing mandate via 8-30g. That statute has made our Planning and Zoning Commission more proactive as we have passed new zoning regulations, with inclusionary zoning being at the forefront.
Additionally, by focusing on the environmental impacts of developments, we can ensure that open space is protected and smart growth is made. It is with these ideals that propelled me to invest my youth, energy, and intellect into helping create a better South Windsor.

Vision for South Windsor:
As a lifetime resident of South Windsor, I’ve always had the core belief that we can achieve greater prosperity if we plan and zone our communities in a sustainable, but equitable manner. We must look at ways to zone for missing middle housing to take the first step in solving the housing crisis and prioritizing mixed-use development as a way of economic sustainability to maximize return for the town’s tax base. The goal is to also reduce car-dependent infrastructure, reduce and/or better manage traffic, and provide accommodation for pedestrians with the use of more walking areas. These and other initiatives will help make our community a more thriving community.
